Republic National Distributing Company Announces Expansion in Lexington County

The South Carolina Department of Commerce, Lexington County and the Central SC Alliance today announced that Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) will expand its operations with a new facility in Lexington County. The company expects to invest more than $11.8 million in its new facility over the next five years.

Stewart Mungo Named Lexington County Economic Development Ambassador

The South Carolina Department of Commerce, Lexington County and the Central SC Alliance today announced that Akebono Brake Corporation will locate its new facility in Lexington County. The $35.6 million investment is expected to generate 283 new jobs over the next five years.

Husqvarna Announces New Parts Distribution Operation in Lexington County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – December 23, 2009 – The South Carolina Department of Commerce, Lexington County and the Central SC Alliance today announced that Husqvarna will locate a parts distribution operation in Lexington County. The company anticipates investing more than $2.5 million and will be the principal tenant in a newly constructed building.

Diamond Pet Foods Announces Expansion in Lexington County

Diamond Pet Foods will expand its facility in Lexington County and invest $3.8 million in the development of additional manufacturing and warehouse space. The expansion is expected to create an additional 37 new jobs. This addition will help them meet customer demand for their products and allow them to prepare for future growth. JanPak Inc. Announces Plans to Expand Operations in Lexington County

The South Carolina Department of Commerce and Lexington County today announced that JanPak Inc. will expand its operations in Lexington County and strengthen its distribution coverage to better service its customers. The $1 million investment is expected to generate up to 15 new jobs in the next five years.

Michelin Announces additional $90 million investment in Lexington County.

Michelin North America Inc. is investing an additional $90 million to upgrade equipment and further expand production capacity at the company’s manufacturing site in Lexington, S.C. The site includes a passenger car tire plant and an off-the-road (OTR) tire plant.

Alliance today joined Shaw Industries Group, Inc. in announcing the company’s intention to expand its manufacturing operations in Lexington County, South Carolina. Over the next five years Shaw Industries Group, Inc. anticipates investing approximately $60 million and expects to create 350 new jobs as a result of the investment.

Lexington County, South Carolina – Gira Steel announced today that it will relocate its operation to West Columbia, SC. Gira Steel’s initial capital investment  at its new facility in Lexington County will be $2.5 million. The move from its current location, at 601 Catawba St., Columbia, to the 265,000 square feet facility located 841 Williams Street, West Columbia, SC, formerly Kline/American Tower facility, will enable Gira Steel to double their current level of  production.

Time Warner Cable dedicates new building, major investment in lexington county

 

WEST COLUMBIA - Time Warner Cable will commemorate the completion of its new company headquarters building in Lexington County on Monday, February 24, in a ceremony at the company’s new Operations Center  at 3347 Platt Springs Road.  The ceremony marks the first company-owned headquarters building in South Carolina and represents an investment of over $24 Million, including purchase and renovation.

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Wildlife Federation (SCWF) is holding its 41st Annual Conservation Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 21, 2006 in Spartanburg.

The Awards Banquet will take place at the Marriott at Renaissance Park near downtown Spartanburg.  Fourteen individuals and organizations that have played a major part in conserving South Carolina’s natural habitats for future generations will be recognized.
