LEXINGTON COUNTY ANNOUNCES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WEBSITE

lexington county, sc, APRIL 11, 2006: Lexington County has announced today that it is launching a website designed to assist in its economic development efforts. This site is located on the internet at www.lexingtoncountyusa.com. The website was developed with funding from the Lexington County Development Corporation.

The website was designed to market Lexington County to industry, businesses, and site consultants assisting in the location of such companies. This site includes information on sites, buildings, demographics, education, quality of life, and current news related to economic development.

Todd Cullum, Chairman of Lexington County Council, said, “We are very excited that this private corporation has funded the development of this website. Their decision shows a continued commitment from the business leaders in the county to support economic development. I am proud that we have been able to develop a first-rate site that shows the rest of the world that Lexington County means business.”

“I feel that this joint effort has allowed us to develop an outstanding web site that will help promote Lexington County,” said Johnny Jeffcoat, Chairman of the County’s Economic Development Committee. “We know that most corporations and site consultants use the internet at some point in their search. This new site will give Lexington a premiere presence in this digital marketplace.”
