GIRA STEEL TO LOCATE IN LEXINGTON COUNTY

Lexington County, South Carolina – Gira Steel announced today that it will relocate its operation to West Columbia, SC. Gira Steel’s initial capital investment  at its new facility in Lexington County will be $2.5 million. The move from its current location, at 601 Catawba St., Columbia, to the 265,000 square feet facility located 841 Williams Street, West Columbia, SC, formerly Kline/American Tower facility, will enable Gira Steel to double their current level of  production. The company, which started in 1996, and has 30 employees, will add 20 new jobs at the facility over the next twelve months.

In 1996 with a simple vision to serve local contractors with Just in Time Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Products, Gira Steel was formed. Today, Gira Steel is one of the few Women Minority Business Enterprise (WMBE) steel operations in the country.  “Provide exactly what we promise, through honesty and integrity,” said Gira Patel, Chief Executive Officer of Gira Steel. “Our strength lies in our people. We have a team of well-experienced professionals who are dedicated and personally involved in keeping up the high quality standards in performance and focused on gaining an edge over the others in the market. It is an integral part of our growth strategy to invest in our associates, their needs, and equipments for better efficiencies in production techniques. A hundred years of professional experience in the steel industry allows us to be in the forefront of a demanding and competitive industry.”
