CMC Steel South Carolina Announces Expansion in Lexington County
CMC Steel South Carolina will expand its operating facility in Cayce, S.C. CMC Steel will invest approximately $29.5 million to grow its steel mill in Lexington County.
West Star Aviation Inc., announced that it will create a maintenance and refurbishment facility in Lexington County. The company’s investment is expected to be approximately $9 million and will create 105 new jobs. This is the company’s fourth location in the United States and the first on the East Coast.
Timothy "Tim" M. Heskett was honored as Ambassadors for Economic
Development by Gov. Mark Sanford and the Department of Commerce as part
of South Carolina's 18th Annual Industry Appreciation Week. The ceremony
took place in Columbia on Monday, September 15 at the Governor's Mansion
Complex and highlighted 49 individuals from 46 counties for their
exceptional efforts to bolster community and economic development
activities in South Carolina.
